OCCUPATION In the beginning there wasn't much to worry about when it came to surviving. Living alone on an island there was no one but herself and her dog, so unless the undead took to the high seas or enjoyed swimming long distances she was safe. Once she got to the city and the camp, she got a job as a firearm repairman from an underground dealer as no one else would hire her due to her untreated medical condition and her lack of any form of education.

THE LOOKS.

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'LL FIND?
FACE Jade's face is quite plain, however her eyes easily stand out. Her eyes are a bright green, magnified on her face by the large glasses she wears (A hand me down from her grandfather before he passed). Her skin is tanned from spending much of her time outside on her pacific island, though a few light freckles dot her nose.
Her two front teeth are over sized, and over-bitten. This leaves her with a pair of bucked teeth. Normally it would have been corrected as a child through braces or a retainer, but being alone, she had no means to get it corrected. She never realized it was something to be ashamed of, until her friends started sending her videos and movies and the more she she saw of social norms and devices, the more she realized, bucked teeth were something to make fun of, developing her first (and possibly only) point of bodily self consciousness.
BODY Jade is on the short side, though her body is slim. While she's grown into some of her curves, she stayed on the leaner side. She's awkward in her own body, but she was never really shown how to hold herself as a woman.
STYLE Jade's style can be only described as “unique”. She usually wears long skirts and t-shirts. She has only what her grandfather had with him already on the island, and doesn't question. Style didn't ever mean a lot to her. If she was covered, warm and comfortable she was happy. Once she finally got off her island, she realized how many options there was to choose from and lost herself in coming up with all different things she could wear, though her combinations are still....Very unique. But if she thinks it's cute that's all the matters.

THE PERSONALITY.
I INVENTED DICE WHEN I WAS A KID.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I INVENTED DICE WHEN I WAS A KID.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
1. Guns and firearms. The precision and accuracy in how they are made, assembled and fired fascinates her.
2. Furry Fandom: Jade has a fascination with the idea and culture behind the furry fandom. Though while she thinks it'd be amusing to have dog ears or a tail, some of the “other” aspects make her uneasy.
3. Gardening. There is something about working out in the sun, working with plants and just relaxing that she could honestly do all day. It's one of the things she misses most about her island
4. Exploring and frog catching. She spent many hours exploring every inch of the island she was on, including the swamp that had been full of frogs. Classifying them and playing with living things like that made it less lonely.
5. Physics and science. She spent many hours reading up on the subjects and likes the idea of knowing how every thing works and fits together, and how to be able to use it to your advantage, stretch your limits
6. Cartoons, especially those with bright colours. Not being around other adults, her childhood still remained quite intact and bright colourful characters and ideas still can bring a smile to her face
7. Music. She can play the bass guitar quite well ( and likes to think she can play the flute). She liked to always have music playing somewhere in the house. The bight uplifting notes can make any space feel lively and lived in.
8. Dogs. Nothing is as loyal as mans best friend. No matter what, your dog will always stand by you and protect you. It's thanks to her own she was able to make it to the camp alive at all.
DISLIKES SAME AS LIKES
1. People who annoy her just for the sake of being annoying. She often finds herself getting a headache quite fast when people are messing with her for no other reason then to make her upset or annoyed.
2. Cruelty to animals. Even in a case like this, where it's every “man” for himself, lesser creatures deserve the same chances to survive as anyone else.
3. Quick judgements. She believes in second chances and will give the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. But don't, cross her twice.
4. Being without some form of communication. Once she'd created her first working computer, she since has never been caught without some sort of device capable of reaching others. The idea of being that cut off again, now that she realizes what's out there, is a scary thought.
5. Corpses of any kind. Be they strangers, fake, or even just an idea, they remind her of her grandfather's bloody body and how she had to deal with it. To this day, even the corpse of an animal makes her uncomfortable
6. Silence. Silence reminds her of nights and mornings all alone in a big empty house. She prefers lots of noise, talking, music. Anything that alludes to other people being around, reminds her that she's with friends now.
7. Forgetting what she should be doing. Not only does she have a bad memory to start with, but falling asleep at important times often leaves her dazed and confused when she wakes up, leaving her with a poor memory on what she should have been doing, its a feelings she hates
8. Eatting meat. Enough bad memories of bloodied flesh, and all the creepy game trophies her grandfather left around the house has put her off the idea of eatting anything that didn't grow naturally in the ground. Though if it comes down to it for survival she will eat it...She just prefers not to see where it came from
HOBBIES TWO AT LEAST
- Marksmanship: Practising her aim and precision with different firearms on her island were ways of keeping herself entertained for long days at a time. Once she'd been filled in on the virus and the outbreak, she practised harder, in case one day she needed to help her friends. Her accuracy is almost impeccable
- Floristry and gardening. Keeping a garden was important if she wanted to be able to eat, plus it was fascinating. With enough books and research at her fingertips she found a love for plants and botany.
HABITS
- When she's nervous, she bites down on her lower lip with her large front teeth
- Laughing when she's confused. A lot of what she doesn't understand, goes over her head. She often mistakes it for humour... or just laughs to fill the awkward silence that comes from her own confusion. This often makes her appear flighty.
- Zoning out when she should be paying attention. She'll often just stare off at nothing, her mind in a completely different space even when it appears like she's paying attention.
FEARS T
- Having no one know where she is: Even alone on her island, she knew Bec was still there, and her online friends would wait for her to come online. She's terrified of being in a place where no one knows who she is, and no one cares. Being entirely alone.
- Having her condition cause her to fall asleep and never wake up again: Whether from becoming an easy target to zombies or from her mind shutting down entirely, she's scared of what might happen and it's out of her control.
- Nightmares. Spending so much of her time sleeping without even realizing she's fallen asleep she has a hard time separating her dreams from her realities. Because of this, she has a fear of having a nightmare, and not being able to tell when she wakes up what was real and what wasn't.

PERSONALITY
Jade can easily be described in one word: Quirky. This is to be expected from someone raised entirely on their own like she was. She has a bad habit of drifting off to sleep from her condition, though it's getting less frequent as she gets older, however this still leaves her forgetful and often dazed or confused. However, beyond this, is an entirely different Jade.
Jade is friendly, and optimistic. Because she didn't have any adults around when she was growing up, her childhood in a sense has remained a great deal intact. She still finds amusement in trivial things, and is always open when meeting new people, giving everyone an equal chance to prove themselves before passing any judgements. However, despite this she isn't completely naive. She can have quite the sharp tongue and quick wit when provoked, able to meet most bouts of sarcasm with an equal rebuttal. She has her limits though. When she is pushed past a point of finding it funny, she is quick to try and move on from the offending person.
Because of her up bringing she doesn't see trolls and humans as different races, but just different shades of people. Discrimination and segregation are foreign to her. She tries to make friends with both sides, seeing nothing wrong in the concept, struggling to understand.
Jade is quick to help others, to the point that she will put down whatever she is doing to help someone else, to the point she often doesn't notice when she is being taken advantage of, however she is quite independent. Having done everything herself, her own way since she was 6 she isn't entirely comfortable yet in either asking for help, or accepting it. She's set in her ways even if she hasn't realized it yet.
Despite being as nice as she is, she also has a snark to her. When she is comfortable enough with someone, she will tease them to no end.

WELL, HE USED TO BEAT ME IN MORSE CODE,
SO ITS POSSIBLE.
PETS Bec (Becquerel) was her dog for as long as she can remember. He kept her safe when her sleepwalking took her outside the house, and after her grandfather died, he became her only companion, protector and family. She trusted him more then anyone else. She was able to keep him with her until she got to the States. Unfortunately she lost him after he protected her from an attack when her narcolepsy caused her to pass out in a danger zone.

HISTORY
Jade's past is one that most people don't really seem to understand, no matter how many times she tries to explain it, so she often just finds away to avoid explaining where she came from, or keeps it as vague as possible.
Jade was raised for the start of her life by her paranoid grandfather. She was told her father died before she was born and her mother died in childbirth. By the time she was old enough however to really question the truth in it, there was no one around for her to ask, and not enough clues around the large empty house to piece it together for herself. Her grandfather died in a firearm accident when she was 6, leaving her to have to deal with not only the body at such a young age but also care for herself.
Because her grandfather was so paranoid about their safety and his money he isolated them to a small volcanic island off of the coast of southern Australia. With her birth parents dead, and all other familial connections cut off, there was no one to be checking on their home, and no one to contact of her grandfathers death. There was no one who was going to come and help her even if she wanted it so she had to learn to manage to get by as best she could.
She'd gained her own paranoias from her grandather's obsession with her safety. Because of her chronic narcolepsy he was always scared she'd pass out in a place which would get her hurt or in danger, or that her sleep walking would make her end up in the ocean or somewhere else as dangerous. Because of this, she was never able to be without Bec at her side. Because of his constant assumptions that some one or other would find them for their wealth, she always had to have some form of protection on her at all time (Firearms mainly) if she was planning on stepping a foot outside the house.
This mindset stuck with her, and she did everything possible to keep herself safe as she tried to raise herself.
She ate mostly what was growing in the gardens, and all the canned goods that were stockpiled in vast quantities in the bomb shelter her grandfather had built out of some old caves and ruins near their house. For years she found amusement in what she found around the house, and eventually she started to read everything she could find in her grandfather's old library. She read everything she could get her hands on, trying to learn about the world she only could assume existed beyond the coast of her island.
Eventually she stumbled upon an old computer in her grandfathers study. Trying to fix it up to work it took her months before she could finally get it on and get a signal. As soon as she had the web at her fingertips the whole world changed. Everything she'd been missing was suddenly in front of her. She used what she could find online to build up a better computer, found forums and all different sites. There were suddenly other people at her disposal, she had someone besides herself to talk to.
She met those who she now considers her best friends online, and it was through them that she learned about the trolls, and the world they lived in. After the outbreak of the virus, she only learned what she could through their updates and online news. She was terrified. The idea that a huge epidemic was happening out there, putting her friends at danger and there was nothing she could do to help... It kept her up at night. Daily she would ask for updates on how they were, how was their family... She would sit waiting for them to log in, and panic if they were even minutes late. Finally she was convinced by Dave that unless she wanted to be stuck on her island without ever getting a way out, she had to get to America, and get to the camp that was being set up. She reluctantly agreed. Using his help she found access to her grandfather’s bank accounts. Money and its worth meant nothing to her, but she'd been left millions in inheritance.
She used the old boat that had gotten them to the island to get to mainland Australia, where she was able to get a one way ticket to America. The culture shock was immense, so many people, so many terms, ideas, social conventions she didn't understand. Arriving in America with nothing but a small bag of clothes, and her dog at her side she had her first encounters with both trolls, and the undead. She made it most of the way to her destination without too much trouble, but eventually her condition got the better of her, leaving her asleep in the middle of a danger zone. Bec protected her from the undead, however, the dog wouldn't survive the altercation and she was finally, all on her own.
When she arrived to the camp, she was able to finally meet in person the friends that had taught her and helped her with so much. She easily made herself at home, though she didn't entirely understand the hatred between the trolls and the humans. Being raised alone she saw only the two species as different kinds of people, she wasn't and still isn’t able to understand the discrimination and hatred between them, and tries to make friends with both sides.
She got a job fixing and repairing firearms. It was the only job she could find, though she really didn't need the money. No one else would give her any form of work because of her past, she lacked both any form of formal education and her untreated condition was a hazard to both herself and to everyone else when it came to safety and protection.
