4G3 8 ½ sweeps / 18 years
OCCUP4T1ON Her main interest is keeping the peace between
4NYTH1NG 3LS3 Terezi has the ability to smell and taste not only physical pigmentation, but psychic energy as well. For her blood colour, she is an exceptional telepath; however, due to her blindness at least half her concentration is constantly focused on perceiving the world, and because of this she cannot transmit information without sacrificing her sight. The one thing she can do while retaining her vision that isn't receptive is send a camouflaging signal, effectively rendering anything she wishes, usually herself, invisible. The higher on the hemospectrum the target of mental interaction, the more difficult and exhausting the task is.

Terezi's hair is black as night, kept chin-length. If it hits her shoulders, it gets cut, and that's the end of it; she doesn't give a rip if it's even or isn't.

Once you see this troll's face, you won't be forgetting it anytime soon. Terezi isn't ugly by any stretch of the word -- far from it, in fact -- but between her pupil-less, completely red eyes (hidden behind oversized, equally red sunglasses) and a sharp-toothed grin that is frequently described as "shit-eating", she tends to leave a mark on the mind's eye. Her eyes aren't the only reason for the glasses, either; the area around them is painted with burn scars, and the mirrored red glass works well with her hair to conceal the damage.
BODY
When she was younger, Terezi was a boyish slip of a thing, but as she's aged that is no longer a fact, having put on quite a bit of meat, mostly around the hips. Her breasts, while small, are proportionate to her, and while not toned her belly doesn't stick out. Height-wise, she's somewhere between average and average, though a little on the short side.
STYL3
In her time, Terezi has researched humans and their ways quite extensively, even going so far as to adopt a good number of their fashions. Her favourites tend to hail from a long-ago era known as the 80's. Popped collars and spandex abound. Granny boots are a must, neon legwarmers optional.
4NYTH1NG 3LS3
Terezi carries a red-and-white-striped cane for appearances, but this is actually a concealed weapon; it can be changed into either a three-sectioned flail or pulled into two thin swords.

WH4T DO YOU DO?
Food: For someone whose perception of the world relies on their senses of smell and taste, bad food is simply not an option. Every meal she gets the opportunity to prepare is a sensory masterpiece. While the process does take time, it's worth the wait.
Humans and everything about them: Their culture and physiology fascinate her, not only because of the differences, but the similarities.
Colours: Bright colours are delicious to her, and cherry red is her favourite. She has a tendency towards other shades of neon as well.
Dragons: Her lusus is one, and while she may not know as much about draconic culture as she does human or troll, she still enjoys stories about them, and of course their colourful scales.
Being around others: Human or troll, it doesn't matter to her; good company is dearer than any gourmet
Causing trouble: Good company is measured by reaction to Terezi's more obnoxious activities. >:] They are, however, mostly harmless, usually involving colouring on things or hanging decorative baubles.
Drawing: Because she can't see very well, she's pretty terrible at drawing, but she still gets some enjoyment out of it, even when it's not on inappropriate surfaces like walls or the insides of capes.
Plants: Having been raised in a forest, she adores growing things, especially flowers. Bright colours and wonderful smells come standard in any garden, be it decorative or practical.
Learning: Her mind is always hungry for knowledge; reading is one of her favourite things to do, but unfortunately books and her tongue don't make very good friends.
D1SL1K3S
Zombies: They smell utterly abhorrent, and technically are the reason she's blind in the first place.
Hemism: Even before losing her sight, Terezi was raised colourblind, and makes her judgement by the strength of one's character as opposed to the colour of their blood.
Dishonesty: Terezi is a firm believer in and seeker of truth, and can smell deceit. It isn't a very pleasant aroma.
Malicious shit-disturbers: It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and if you go out intending to hurt others with pranks then they just aren't pranks anymore.
Fire: Outside of the kitchen, where it's a necessity, fire makes Terezi very uncomfortable.
Water: What could pass for her vision is completely dependent on her ability to breathe, something she cannot do underwater; as such, she cannot swim. The rain also makes it difficult to “see”, as it covers everything and fills the air, making everything smell like it. What on Medius she's doing spending so much time on a boat, no one knows.
Being alone: Terezi has only had real physical company for a couple of sweeps; before her lusus hatched she had no face-to-face friends. Now that the internet is limited, and with her lusus being away a great deal of the time, she seeks out companionship as often as possible, although very few can get past their first impression of her.
Being a very strange troll: Terezi has a love/hate relationship with her uniqueness. While she doesn't mind so much having the licking and sniffing being considered peculiar, she does not completely understand that concepts such as love and acceptance – things her lusus had always stressed the importance of – are not altogether standard in troll society.

H4B1TS
Blurring cultural lines: Terezi frequently uses human terms in place of troll ones, and tends to think more along the lines of a human than one of her own species.
Licking things: Tasting helps with perceiving detail and is more accurate than smell. She also does this as a sign of affection; the less tongue used, the more intimate the gesture...and of course, the less drool.
Ruffling feathers: Trolls turn the most entertaining colours when one does obnoxious things to their surroundings. >:]
F34RS
Losing the others: When you have so few others to care about, you'll fight to the death to protect them, even – or perhaps especially – from each other.
Drowning: The further out to sea she gets, the more likely Terezi is to hole herself up in the galley, away from the water.
Mental invasion: No one, not even her lusus, has been able to break through her barriers yet, and she makes every effort to ensure no one ever does.

P3RSON4L1TY
If Terezi Pyrope had a middle name, it would be “Mischief”. Her wicked grin isn't just for decoration; when it shows its pointed face, the mind behind it is spinning quicker than a timetable on fast-forward. This almost never bodes well for whoever her current plot is aimed for. However, while troublesome and occasionally hazardous to one's mental health, Terezi's pranks are, at their hearts, all in good fun. She would never intentionally harm anyone she considered a friend.
Those she does consider friends tend to be a bit wary of her, not only because of her trickster nature, but due to the fact that as one whose sight is dependent on aroma and flavor, Terezi has absolutely no sense whatsoever of personal space. The fact that she grew up largely by herself does not help this in any way, shape, or form. She is, however, very perceptive and does have the ability to calm down and be almost ruthlessly composed, but only when she deems it necessary – usually in the presence of a particularly intelligent enemy. It is at such times that her mischievous grin is refined into a far more cunning smile, one that screams, without words, in the most taunting voice possible, “I know something you don't know.” This unnerving smirk is a useful tool, because even if she doesn't know what her adversary thinks she does, its presence is usually enough to tip the scale in her favor.
When it comes to a crucial argument, Terezi's usual high-energy self seems to get a switch thrown, and the young troll slips into a demeanor that, aside from her taunting smile, is almost frighteningly calm. Even as her mind races, Terezi almost never panics in the middle of a mental fight. Her tenacity is nigh unmatched, and her pranking skills sharpen into carefully-aimed barbs, needling her enemy with words until their defenses fall apart.
In a physical fight, she is not quite as serene, and is occasionally prone to flipping out, but as such shit-flipping is usually accompanied by a well-placed dragon cane to the think pan of whatever has frightened her this is not always a disadvantage. She is quick to move, and strong enough to hold her own for quite some time, but honestly would much prefer to get away when it comes to battle; the first place she tends to go is up, having lived in a tree for most of her life. Given that, so far, the undead can't climb, this is generally a good way for her to go.
All in all, Terezi is a cheerful and playful troll with a dark streak, no indoor voice, and a penchant for being tricksy. Befriend her and gain an ally for life, behind the scenes or center stage. Make her your enemy and enjoy the asylum.

H1STORY
Terezi began life as every other troll does: a squiggly grub, blood color on display, pupate, emerge, test, the whole nine yards. However, that was where her normalcy ended, for when it came time for a lusus to choose her, all the girl could hear was whispers. Gentle words, loving words, but no physical form to be had, unlike all the other little ones who had emerged victorious from their trials. Saddened and confused, Terezi did the only thing she could do and followed the whispers deep into the forest, far from troll and human alike. There, at last, nestled in the boughs of a great tree, she found her lusus: a massive egg in which slumbered a dragon.
Figuring that the tree was more than large enough for two, Terezi gradually built her hive up around the egg, learning to listen with not just her ears, but her mind as well. Over time, the girl's perception spread from merely her lusus to the surrounding fauna, though simple-minded as they were they weren't much fun to listen to. It was on the rare occasions she would venture into the city that such a skill became more entertaining, not to mention useful for deterring danger – it was easy to hide when you could hear your enemy thinking three blocks away.
The more time she spent in the city, though, the more she preferred her tree, and so after collecting various ways of connecting to the outside world – her lusus discouraged her initial thought of closing herself off entirely – she settled herself into a life of more or less solitude. While she did frequently chat on the internet with the occasional troll, Terezi spent most of her early life reading. Every piece of information she could get her eyes on, she devoured, storing it all away for later use. Eventually, though, she ran out of interesting things to learn about her own kind. It was then that she began her foray into the study of human culture.
Her lusus, unlike (as she imagined) other lusii did, never said anything bad about humans. Dragons were an ancient species, older than either human or troll, and had always regarded both as equals, never favoring one over the other, but not often interfering, preferring instead to keep to themselves, out of petty affairs. However, this does not stop them from observing, and it is this observance that Terezi's lusus passed down to her. Watch, she would say, watch and learn. So Terezi did, and it wasn't long before the girl found herself enamored with the species hers was at war with, even going so far as to build a small human dwelling at the bottom of her tree, so that the human postman could bring all the treasures she ordered off the internet without getting too suspicious. The longer she studied them, though, the more she wondered why the two species couldn't get along.
Then, when Terezi was six sweeps old, the virus was released, and all hell broke loose.
While she did live deep within the forest, Terezi was still relatively close to the city, and on one particular and most unfortunate night, some rather maddened trolls in an attempt to escape the carnage in the city passed through the wood, and mistaking Terezi's decoy dwelling for an actual human's home, raided it and set it aflame. It wasn't long before the fire spread to the trunk of the tree, imprisoning the girl in her own home. Despite her lusus' cries to flee, get away, save herself, Terezi refused to go anywhere without her custodian's egg. The fire spread, the trunk snapped, the tree began to tilt. Caving at last to panic and her lusus's pleas, Terezi did the only thing she felt she could do.
She jumped.
The ground was unforgiving, and when Terezi next opened her eyes, she understandably believed that the warm, dark nest she felt around her was merely her place in the next world. However, this was not the case; In the afterlife one did not feel pain, nor sorrow, and Terezi at that moment felt both. Sorrow gave way to a more pressing fear as she groped around; she felt the sun on her skin and strong scaled arms beneath her, and yet saw nothing. You are lucky, sweet one, she heard, freezing at the gentle nuzzle on her cheek for a moment before, for the first time in her life, putting her arms around her lusus' neck. Sight, she decided, was an all right price to pay to finally have a real mother.
It took some time, but the dragon taught her daughter a new way of perceiving the world; through a combination of taste, scent, and her own telepathy, Terezi again regained something akin to sight. Limited, yes, blurred, definitely, but no longer was she handicapped; in fact, in this way, the young troll saw more than ever, despite still being separated from most of society.
Separate as she was, though, now that her senses had risen to compensate for the one she had lost, she could not help but overhear that there was an encampment not too far from where they were situated. One populated by both troll and human, where tensions ran high. It wouldn't be long before war broke out between the factions at this rate. Someone had to step in, had to keep the peace. And who better than she, who knew so much about both species?
